For Soccer Referees and Players

Indoor League Rules

OSA – Indoor Soccer Leagues play under FIFA rules.

With the exception of the kick in.

All free kicks are indirect with the exception of the penalty kick

Indoor League Rules Penal Offences

Kicks or attempts to Trips or attempts to Strikes or attempts to Jumps at Charges Pushes Holds Slide tackles Spits at Handles the ball deliberately (except goalkeeper within

his/her own penalty area) Shows dissent by word or action from a referee decision

Slide is OK, BUT! Slide Tackle is NOT.

All Free Kicks are I.F.K.

Kick-off – Ball can be kicked in any direction

Kick-in – Ball & feet must be on the touch line or behind the touch line. Kick-in is not a F.K.

All players must be 5 meters away from the ball at the taking of all indirect free kicks

Penalty Kick is the only D.F.K.

GRS Improvements

Pre game preparation:

Team sheets, game ball

If team(s) are not ready, Referee will start the time to insure for each game to start & finish on time

Players uniform / equipment

Players bench area - keep your bench area organized

Teams coming in for the next game must go to the opposite area of the field to get ready for the next game.

During the game, players going ON & OFF the field must use Substitution Area.

GRS Improvements REFEREES

PLEASE! Do not abuse the use of your whistle.

Curtin wire is part of the playing field.

Make sure your shirt colour is not identical to team colours. (shorts, socks, proper foot wear).

Do not stand in one spot – move up & down the field

- Crisp & clear signals

Bring your clip board, yellow, red, blue reports.

(Don’t assume someone will bring it for you)

Indoor League Rules

Blue Card 2 minutes.

Yellow Card 2 or 4 minutes.

Red Card 5 minutes.

All time penalties must be served for the full time.

2 min penalties can be issued to players who commit any of the penal offences.

A blue or yellow card may be used

Player coming in to the game, may not play the ball before the player leaving has left the playing surface.

If you give a player a 2 minute time penalty than issue a red card 2+5 = 7 minutes in time penalties.

Any player who commits 2 min. Verbal Penalty (Blue card) in the game. There will be NO Discipline Report submitted.

All players penalties must be identified on players team sheet.

Cautions and Dismissals are sent to the SWRSA for further Discipline

Players must not reveal undershirts

that contain slogans or advertising.

The removal of a jersey is defined as removing the jersey over the head or covering the head with the jersey.

GRS management is informing everyone involved in our league to stop the use of abusive foul language

Abuse and abusive foul language must be controlled by all.

All items of jewellery are potentially dangerous. The term “dangerous” can sometimes be ambiguous and controversial, therefore in order to be uniform and consistent any kind of jewellery has to be forbidden.

If the Jewellery cannot be removed the player cannot play

As per the FIFA Laws of the game and for safety reasons.

Jewellery will not be allowed on the playing surface, even if it’s taped.

Rings, earrings, leather or rubber bands are not necessary to play and the only thing they can bring about is injury.
