KEY CLUB PLEDGE Don't know the Key Club pledge? No worries. Just follow along below: I pledge, on my honor, to up- hold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

Officer Training RECAP On September 22nd, I hosted the Officer Training. There were five schools represented. We raised $72.47 for Project Educate during the Miracle minute.

This month the Divisional Council Meeting will be on October 20th, 2012 at 3pm at the Starbucks in Pasco.

All Key Clubbers can attend the Divisional Council Meeting. It will be at Starbucks on Road 68. The address is: 5204 Road 68, Pasco, WA.

We voted on T-shirts, a mascot and colors at the last meeting. I cannot wait to show you how the T-shirt design turned out. I will not be providing food or drinks. However, Starbucks has drinks and pastries. We needed Wi-Fi access for this meeting.

District Convention

The theme this year is DIVING INTO SERVICE! It will be held at the Doubletree in Seattle, Washington. We would like to be in the main room this year, so please remind your Treasurers to pay key club dues before November 1st. The cost for DCON is $230 per person, so start fundraising now.

I went last year and had so much fun. I met new people and bonded with my friends. I hope that all of you can have the chance to go to DCON this year.

We hope to have Division 54 shirts to wear for the opening session.

This year after you get the boxes:

1. Decorate your boxes. 2. Collect donations. 3. Fill out the donation

form and submit it with your club’s donations.

4. Celebrate! You’ve helped save moms and babies.

Order them at Kiwanis.org

Halloween is October 31st! Don’t forget to wear a costume!

Once you’ve collected all of your donations, send a check (made payable to the Kiwanis International Foundation) or money order and your completed gift form to: The Eliminate Project: Campaign Office Kiwanis International Foundation 3636 Woodview Trace Indianapolis, IN 46268 USA ATTN: Trick-or-Treat Write your club name on the memo line of the check so we can recognize your club’s efforts to help eliminate MNT.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF

Tri-K is the 26th- 28th of October. Kiwanis hosts the board meeting where Circle K, Kiwanis and Key Club all get together. It will be held in Portland, Oregon.

Key Leader Weekend was October 5th-6th. It was at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp in Rhododendron, OR. I learned about Service Leadership, Respect, Excellence, Community, Growth, Integrity, and Leadership. Mrs. White was the Kiwanis Facilitator.

November 1st is when Early Bird Dues are due. If that is too early then December 1st is the last day to pay dues. Dues are 11.50 per member.
