¡Bienvenidos! The C.A.M.P. Staff would like to welcome Cohort 4 students to Eastern
Washington University and into the C.A.M.P. Program. We look forward to serving our
students and having an exciting 2017-18 school year, filled with learning and
achievement.
Each year, EWU C.A.M.P. serves 45 students who come from migrant and seasonal farm
working backgrounds. During their first year of college, the program provides students
with financial and support services, with the goal of preparing them to continue their
education at a four-year university.
Moreover, we are thrilled to continue working with returning students in order to ensure
that their needs are met. We consider it an honor and privilege to be able to work with our
students and provide them with necessary resources to continue their academic success at

In this event, Cohort 4 students got the opportunity to meet with their mentors. First, the Mentor Coordinator, Adrianna had Cohort 4 mentees fill out a short questionnaire about their interests. Then, the mentees introduced themselves; followed by the mentors who in addition to their introduction shared some information about them. Afterwards, students were broken down into smaller groups and played a guessing game in which groups had to guess who their mentor was based on the information provided. Once the game was over, students and mentors took some time to socialize and to get to know each other. The purpose of the mentoring program is to provide support and useful resources
around campus to incoming CAMPers and help them build new relationships. Empowering CAMPers to develop strategies and skills to successfully navigate college.
