Inactive nurses returning to practice: Not actively practiced profession in 5
consecutive years
Requirements: 1 month didactic training 3 months practicum in hospital
Prohibitions in nursing practice: Imprisonment of not less than 1 year but not more
than 6 years Fine of 50,000 – 100,000php
1. Unauthorized practice of nursing in Philippines2. Conducting educational and review programs
without permit from PRC-BON3. Violation of minimum base pay of nurses and the
incentives and benefits4. Violation of any provision of RA 9173
