• Neoliberalism was a political movement that mixed economic growth with traditional liberal concerns for social justice

• Neoliberalism supported the establishment of regulatory bodies

• Neoliberalism also supported the suppression of organized labor

• The state has a central role to the projects of neoliberalism

• Neoliberalism was politically supported because it favored social progress through reforms
