Music Magazine EvaluationDarius Azadeh

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

While making this magazine, I have learnt a lot about different computer programmes. First is editing pictures paint and

Photoshop. For the first and second drafts of my magazine, I needed to cut the model out of the image and put them on a

plain background. I had already done this before, but not to a professional standard, which was needed for this. The below

example is using paint and the cover photo from my first draft. The line going along his arm and face is the line of cutting out from the background

I also learnt about editing colours and textures of shapes. I have given my anchorage text a faded yellow background. I

achieved this by making a yellow coloured box shape in publisher, then copying that into PowerPoint. I did that

because this is a newer Microsoft tool, which lets you take an image and soften the edges, which is what I did and then

copied back into PowerPoint, and fitted it behind the anchorage text. This made the magazine look more

professional. PowerPointPublish

Another way in which I edited backing boxes for the cover is making them transparent. I have seen this used on many

magazine covers, specifically GQ. It brings a subtlety sophisticated style to the cover. I achieved the affect in a

similar way to the previous one. I made a yellow square on publisher and copied it into PowerPoint. Its updated features

let me edit the transparency and lighting, so I achieved a transparent faded yellow puff background.
