Flexible GroupingsGroups are based on current achievement/performance

data. In 3rd grade, this data includes: 4Sight scores, DIBELS

data, writing prompts, spelling inventories, and DDS data.We continually monitor students' performance and

progress to ensure we are meeting their instructional needs.

Groups are flexible, fluid, and change throughout the year.Teachers will notify parents of any changes in their child’s

groups.

Data and Testing-DIBELSDIBELS stands for (Dynamic Indicators of Basic

Early Literacy Skills) and is a standardized assessment that we perform 3 times per year with progressing monitoring for students not reaching designated benchmarks. It assesses students oral reading fluency and accuracy on the DORF portion and comprehension on the DAZE portion. Third grade has the benchmark goals of 100 words a minute with 97% accuracy.

Please be sure that you are reading daily with your child.
