BRAND STORY

For my brand I wanted to keep it really simple. I wanted to highlight the

aspects of my town that have come to play an important part in my life as

well as those that show off the unique qualities of the town. I wanted to

highlight the special little details that make Morrisville the unique and

beautiful town it is. I also wanted to show the fact that Morrisville is not

just an ordinary small town but one that is highly community driven. From

events like the Actors Net, to the Memorial Day Parade, to the events at

the Island, Morrisville is one of those places where the people that live

there really speak to the essence of the town.

Personality wise everyone there is very friendly and compassionate about

the town and wanting to improve it as well as it’s resources. From the

twenty-two years so far that I’ve spent in Morrisville I have grown to know

and love the simplicity of lifestyle that exists there. Just having that close-

ness of family and friends is something you won’t be able to find anywhere

else in the world.

COMMUNITY

Morrisville’s Community is unlike any other out there, it’s unique, but most

of all, it’s tight-knit. Everyone knows everybody else in town, so if there is

an issue or a problem, someone will always be there to help you out.

Also, because of it’s small size, Morrisville is able to provide its inhabitants

with plenty of community events, which bring everyone in town together.

However, even when there aren’t any festivals going on, it’s quite likely

that one will run into the same person at least twice in the same given day.

So, in a nutshell, you will get to meet at least each person in the town at

least five times over the course of your life, now how many towns can you

say that about?

FAMILY TIES

Because everyone in town lives relatively close to their loved ones the small

family groups of Morrisville, PA don’t have to go very far to visit loved ones.

Instead, they can get right in the car, and after a pretty short commute will

arrive at their destination be that Levittown, Bristol, Yardley or Langhorne.

Personally, just by having this extra touch makes Morrisville so special. For

example, as a kid growing up, I have always lived across the street from my

grandparents and my best friend has always been just a two minute walk

down the main street.

Q–FACTOR

Many of you non Morrisvillians might ask, well what exactly is this so called

Q-factor? Well I will start off by saying that the Q-factor is the single most

important part of the town and also a contributing factor to its overall

beauty. The Q-factor is the quaint feeling that one gets when they come

into town, that knowing you are always within close walking distance of

where you need to go.

This smallness is what makes people feel at ease living there. Most of the

eateries downtown are either really small run or family owned, so there are

lots of fresh and fun places to go buy a snack or get takeout with a group

of close friends for a party.

For my logo I wanted to focus on creating this feeling and meaning of home.

The logo mark itself shows resemblence of something homey. I wanted to make it

evident that there were multiple pieces coming together to form the overall mark

because it showed how close knit Morrisville was and everyone coming together

to join into one.

All body paragraphs are set in Avenier LT Std Light. This

font not only compliments the Din I choose for the logo

mark but also gives the overall feel of the identity a nice

breath of fresh breath of air and differentiation.

The color palette uses a variety of blue hues which give off

a very calm, pleasant, and friendly essence. The colors are

also taken from the paint color of my own home where I live.

parades in which the team rides in homemade floats

downtown. After the parade vendors come selling the

usual holiday goods such as hot dogs, funnel cake, etc.

RIGHT NOW

BACK THEN

This image is from one of the shots of the old bridge

just a little outside of town. Visitors like to go and ride

their bike in the park nearby. In fact, you can even dip

your toes in a really cool stream close by, definitely a

must on a hot summer day!

Photo collage showing all the small bits and pieces of the

town coming together as one. This collage aims to give a

visual sense for how the town is a big meshing together of

small details, places, and things.
