1.    Inside the History of Industry, when do you think the action of the film happens?

In the Industrial Revolution.

2.    How is the factory organised? What elements of the industrial process can you see?

Is an assembly line factory. The elements are: The workforce, the

technology and the management.

3.    Describe the work in the factory. Is there division of labour?

In the assembly line a lot of people in a row screw the different pieces.

There is a technical division of labour because the teamwork is essencial in an assembly line. Also there is a social division, many people are in charge of instructing the workers that are in the assembly line, and other people like the boss are in charge of making decisions, like the decison of buying the machine that feed the workers.

4.    What differences can you notice between working during these times and working today?

I think nowadays the salary is better, and there is a lot of more security for the workers than before, probably there were a lot of accidents, like the ones that appear in the film.

5.    Give your opinion about the film. Did you like it?

Although the film shows you how was the life in those times, also is a good social and political critique. Is the first time I watch a Charles Chaplin film and I never thought that the films were so funny, I have laughed a lot. Now I know why people call Chaplin a genius. I recommend it for all the people.
