Department

Michael Harrington is an ex-staff member of the New York Police Department, which is one of the oldest and the most prestigious police departments in the country. He joined the department in 2002 and served as a police officer till 2009. Prior to joining the NYPD, he was a sales representative, counselor, and a stockbroker.

Michael Harrington aspired to join the Police Department ever since he was a child. The uniform and the spirit of being a police officer always inspired him. He served the department with honesty, dedication, and commitment for seven years. While his tenure ship as the staff member of the department, he was posted at 1Police Plaza in New York. His major duties involved serving and protecting the people of New York City; deterring crime; and making arrests.

Michael Harrington was employed in different fields before joining the New York Police Department. He worked as a stock broker in the beginning of his career. He worked for First Hanover Securities and Investor’s Associates, Inc. as a registered representative and stockbroker. Afterwards, he took up jobs in the field of sales and marketing. He has good marketing and communication skills which helped him establish himself as a successful sales representative. He worked for Clark Boardman Callaghan and sold legal publications to attorneys. After working there for sometime, he joined N.W.Ayer, a company that promotes businesses online. He marketed web pages and banner ads for the company. He also served Schick Technologies, Inc. and sold digital X-ray equipment to dentists.

He worked as an Enrollment Counselor with Inspirica Inc., an online tutoring service. He guided students and helped them understand the whole test preparation process. He suggested programs to the students according to their qualifications and previous experiences. He also handled the admission processes and helped the company expand its business. He served the Art Institute of New York City as an Assistant Director of Admissions. Michael Harrington started preparing himself for joining the New York Police Department in 1997, when he enrolled in BS in John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He completed this degree in 2008. He also studied Executive Business Diploma from Drake Business School and learned Word Processing and Accounting from the American Business Institute.
