History of Callback

Troopers work overtime and usually the funding for the overtime is coming from a grant Need a method keep up with the list of grants that provide overtime

Need a way to manage what troopers can work overtime

Need a way to ensure troopers fill out the proper forms

Need a way to ensure all troopers are paid for their work

Need a way to monitor the activity during the overtime

Primary Goal

Provide a system to schedule and account for highway patrol overtime shifts that are grant funded.

MHP Overtime Lingo Callback - general term referring to a grant funded overtime shift

Detail - a specific 8 or 12 hour shift tied to a grant, troopers, and target. May be referred to as a callback.

Detail Report – form completed by each trooper to report the results of a Detail.

Detail Package – all Detail and Summary reports for a given Detail

District/Troop & Region

Supervisors Detail Supervisor – responsible for a single detail (may or may not have

special rank)

District Supervisor – all details must be approved by a District Supervisor

Callback Administrator – final approver of Detail Packages & Reporting

Detail Phases Grant Management - title, year, target, grant#, mileage rate

Scheduling Select date, time, duration, location, target/grant, supervisor, participants

Data Collection Trooper

Post Detail Report – completed by Detail Supervisor

1 To Many Grants Each Grant can have one to many Details

Each Details has to have a supervisor, but can have one to many troopers

Each trooper must fill out his/her information for the detail

Each trooper’s information must be approved by the detail supervisor

Each Detail that is finished must be approved by the callback administrator
