Kids First Awareness Community Center Alabaster, Alabama

Presents:

Make our community a better place to live.

In return we:

Serve Others - Transforming love, life, and teaching in others

Strengthening Communities - Help lift up our neighbors

Bridge Barriers - working side by side teaches us that in the end, we are more alike than we are different.

Start a community project

Help an elderly neighbor, serve in a

homeless shelter, volunteer at school

or community organization

Performing individual acts of kindness

Giving of your time freely

“Be The Change”

In honor of all

community and national leaders:

Kids First Awareness Center has implemented a service learning project through the character

education program.

In Picture: Mayor of Alabaster, State Legislature Ward, State Senator Erwin, County Commissioner Cunningham and Local Community Leaders.

Kids First Character Education Program:

Encourage at-risk youth to make a positive change in the community.

Teaching at-risk youth:

* Character traits of leadership

* To love, serve and respect others

* To do random acts of kindness

* Having pride in yourself, school, and community

* Working with officials to improve your neighborhood

For youth to obtain permission from city officials to legally change a street name in the Valley Public Housing Complex to:

Alabaster, Alabama 35007

At-risk youth perform “Day of Service”

Have a ‘Unity Walk’ to street sign

Dedicate sign with officials, and community

Make this an annual event
