Diabetes is a growing concern among

Native American Children

The average 8 to 18 year old spends 7.5 hours a day using entertainment media including TV, computers, video games, cell phones and movies in a typical day.

Only 1/3 of high school students get the recommended levels of physical activity

(Let’s move, n.d.)

Change and growth take place when a person has risked himself and dares to become involved with experimenting with his own life

Make Healthy Changes

Make it a choice Now

Always make physical activity fun.

If we all did the things we are capable of, we would

astound ourselves.

Moving to your favorite music helps your heart and your mood.Exercise induces release of hormones such as dopamine and serotonin which help to keep our mood elevated and give us a sense of wellbeing.

It just takes 10 minutes of active movement several times during the day to keep you healthy and happy.

Movement and active play helps your child’s brain grow while the body is learning new skills.

Children need active

play that adds up to

at least an hour a day.
