Benefactors The benefactors for the Local History Room are members

of the Walker Family:

Joseph Walker, Jr. Claude M. Walker Marion Walker Clarke Felix D. Walker Robert C. Walker John S. Walker

The Walker family has long been involved with the cotton industry. The patriarch of the family was Joseph Walker, the senior member of the firm of Joseph Walker and Company, one of the leading cotton companies of the South.

The Local History Room contains historical information

focusing on the Midlands of South Carolina.
