Your  LinkedIn  Profile  Headline

• Seen  on  LinkedIn.com,  LinkedIn  app  and  emails  sent  out  by  LinkedIn• Be  accurate,  professional  and  include  3  or  less  relevant  keywords• Search  LinkedIn  and  see  what  kinds  of  people  are  returned• Use  Google  Keyword  Planner  to  see  general  search  volume• "Social  Media"  is  vague,  "Social  Media  Manager"  is  targeted

• Swap  out  different  sets  of  keywords  and  test  by  looking  at  your  profile  views• Skip  "Guru",  "Ninja",  "Evangelist",  etc.,  you  won't  be  taken  seriously• Include  a  URL.  It  gets  included  in  the  emails  LinkedIn  sends  out• I  include  a  shortURL  in  my  headline.  It  links  to  my  contact  info

Your  LinkedIn  Profile  Exper7se• Each  job  you  add  to  your  profile  should  

include  a  mini  elevator  pitch  in  the  summary

• Use  keywords  that  are  accurate  to  you,  the  job  and  how  people  will  search  to  find  you

• Do  not  copy  and  paste  your  en7re  resume  here

• State  what  your  role  was  in  the  company  and  your  accomplishments

• Add  links  to  press  coverage,  videos,  presenta7ons,  blogs  underneath  the  summary

• LinkedIn  is  visual  and  social

• People  want  authori7es  in  the  space/industry

• If  you  have  nothing  to  add,  create  something
