LIGHTHOUSES OF GREECE • One of the most important and up to date
monuments that stands at as a characteristic of Greece and the notable position Greece had from the beginning of World Naval history is fading out due to wear and tear and abandonment.
• The Lighthouse network of Greece has 120 Traditional lighthouses today, which are approximately two centuries old. Only 20 of them are in very good condition, where as 30 are in medium condition, and the marks of wear and tear are visible to the naked eye in the other structures.

This lighthouse was manufactured in 1893.The altitude of tower is 7 metres and the height of focal plane is 23 metres. The access in the lighthouse becomes roadly from Astros in Kinouria.

LIGHTHOUSE SIGRI aka MEGANISI (LESVOS)
The lighthouse rebuilded in 1947 because it had suffered important damage from German during 2nd world war.Included in Greek lighthouses Network at 1912-13. A boat makes every day trips from Sigri to Meganisi Island, except in bad weather contitions, so anyone can easily visited the lighthouse.

This lighthouse was build in 1909. The altitude of tower is 8 metres and the height of focal plane is 16 metres.
