Dreams

January 3rd , the world changed. Born was this determined baby, who awaited her coming to earth.

I was born and raised in the beautiful village of Laborie.

Growing up, I was a quiet, shy, calm and obedient individual. I was also very subconscious about my appearance since I was a early maturing girl.

I was always fond of family since they motivated and show their unconditional love to me EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I AM BLESSED!!!!!

I first attended a small, unrecognized pre-school in my community.

Then, attended the Laborie RC Girls Primary school.

Then, the Piaye Secondary School. There my love for extra curricula activities grew, as I was on the Debating team, President of the Thrift Co operative and represented the school on numerous occasions.

Furthering my education at Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School; A level Department.

After successfully completing my A level Course, I was introduced to the world of work – October 12th

2009. I was employed at the Laborie Co operative Credit Union“We’re not a bank; we’re better”.

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and because I didn’t get the call that year I was very demotivated and I thought I wasn’t good enough. However, after eleven months of working at LCCU I finally got the call on September 18th 2010 and went into the teaching service September 27th 2010.

After one year of teaching, I decided to attend the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College; Division of Teacher Education where I can improve my pedagogical skills.

My experience at DTEEA has been spectacular thus far and I’m looking forward to a productive and fun experience.

I am a very much involved person in my community and church. Due to my dedication, commitment and hard work, I’ve attained numerous opportunities to represent these groups. Presently, I am the incoming President of the Missionary Childhood Association, Vice President of the Laborie Catholic Youth Organization, Secretary of the Rotaract Club of St. Lucia South and member of ECHOLAB (Environmental Conservation and Heritage Organization of Laborie).

Due to my active involvement in these groups, I have been to Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica and Dominica. These are all eye openers which show what my future holds.

My main dream is to become a PRINCIPAL by the year 2020 (if God perceives).

By this time, I will have my teaching certificate, my Degree, and sufficient experience.

I am grateful for the life I had, the life I have and the life which lies

ahead.

THANK YOU
