9 Tips for running a GIAG

2. Organise!

Obvious? Well....obviously not!“It was badly

organised and ... the society lacked

communication”

“It looked like they were really lost and didn't know what to do”

“There were too many people and a lot of people were standing at the back...we couldn’t hear what was going on....”

“The timing was wrong as in the booklet it said 6.30 pm start. We got there at 6:25 and it had already started...

There wasn’t enough equipment for everyone...

“Everyone was complaining about the fact that they had to wait a long time.”

“We had to wait for them to run back to the Union and get the keys!”

“it looked like they‘d decided what to do 10 minutes before it started”

“Lack of structure, lack of flow, lack of organisation and lack of initiative”

3. Advertise!

4. Subsidise!• Could people buy tickets cheaper themselves?• Could people get their transport cheaper

themselves?

Do them a deal! Is it cheaper for the student to do the activity themselves?

They say there is an exception to every rule... ...but everyone loves a bargain. No exception.
