॥ ਏਹੁ ਸਰਾ�ਰਾ ਸਭ ਮਾ!ਲ ਹੁ" ਮਾ�ਇਆThis body is the source of all Maya;

॥ਹੁਤਿਰਾ ਮਾ�ਦੇਰਾ ਏਹੁ ਸਰਾ�ਰਾ ਹੁ" ਤਿਗੋਆਤਿਨੁ ਰਾ�ਤਿਨੁ ਪਰਾਗੋਟੁ ਹੁ�ਇThis body is the Temple of God, in which the jewel of knowledge is revealed.

॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ ਜ�ਈ ੧ ਰਾਹੁ�ਉ ਪ�ਚ ਪਹੁਰਾ!ਆ ਦੇਰਾ ਮਾਤਿਹੁ ਰਾਹੁ� ਤਿ�ਨੁ ਕੀ� ਨੁਹੁ� ਪ��ਆਰਾ� ਚ ਤਿ� ਸਚ � ॥ ॥ ਤਿਚ� ਹੁ�ਇ ਰਾਹੁ �ਉ ਲ" ਪਰਾਗੋ�ਸ ਉਜ�ਰਾ� ੨ ਨੁਉ ਘਰਾ ਦੇ ਤਿਖ ਜ ਕੀ�ਮਾਤਿਨੁ ਭ!ਲ� �ਸ� ਅਨੁ!ਪ ਨੁ ॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ਪ�ਈ ਕੀਹੁ� ਕੀ��ਰਾ ਨੁਵਾ" ਘਰਾ ਮਾ!ਸ ਦੇਸਵਾ1 �� ਸਮਾ�ਈ ੩ ੨੨ ੭੩

He fashioned the body chamber with six rings, and placed within it the incomparable thing.He made the breath of life the watchman, with lock and key to protect it; the Creator did this in no time at all. ||1||Keep your mind awake and aware now, O Sibling of Destiny.You were careless, and you have wasted your life; your home is being plundered by thieves. ||1||Pause||

॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ਕੀ��ਰਾ ਨੁਵਾ" ਘਰਾ ਮਾ!ਸ ਦੇਸਵਾ1 �� ਸਮਾ�ਈ ੩ ੨੨ ੭੩

The five senses stand as guards at the gate, but now can they be trusted?When you are conscious in your consciousness, you shall be enlightened and illuminated. ||2|| Seeing the nine openings of the body, the soul-bride is led astray; she does not obtain that incomparable thing. Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the true essence. ||3||22||73||Ang 339

Him. ॥ ॥ ॥ ਤਿਚਰਾ�ਕੀ�ਲ ਇਹੁ ਦੇ ਹੁ ਸ�ਜਰਾ�ਆ ੧ ਰਾਹੁ�ਉ After so very long, this human body was fashioned

for you. ||1||Pause|| ॥ ਕੀਈ ਜਨੁਮਾ ਸ"ਲ ਤਿਗੋਤਿਰਾ ਕੀਤਿਰਾਆ In so many incarnations, you were rocks and mountains; ॥ ਕੀਈ ਜਨੁਮਾ ਗੋਰਾਭ ਤਿਹੁਤਿਰਾ ਖਤਿਰਾਆ in so many incarnations, you were aborted in the womb; ॥ ਕੀਈ ਜਨੁਮਾ ਸ�ਖ ਕੀਤਿਰਾ ਉਪ�ਇਆ in so many incarnations, you developed branches and

leaves; ॥ ॥ ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾ�ਸ�ਹੁ ਜ�ਤਿਨੁ ਭ2ਮਾ�ਇਆ ੨ you wandered through 8.4 million incarnations. ||2||

॥ ॥ ॥ ਅਜਰਾ ਜਰਾ" � ਨੁਉ ਕੀਲ ��ਧੋ ਪ!ਜ" ਪ+�ਣ ਹੁ�ਵਾ" ਤਿਥੈਰਾ ਕੀ�ਧੋ ਕੀਹੁ�* � ਆਇਆ ਕੀਹੁ�* ਏਹੁ ਜ�ਣ ਜ�ਵਾ� ਮਾਰਾ� ॥ ॥ ॥ ॥ ਰਾਹੁ" ਪਰਾਵਾ�ਣ ਹੁਕੀਮਾ" �!ਝੈ" �� ਪਛਾ�ਣ" ਇਹੁ ਪਰਾਸ�ਦੇ ਗੋਰਾ! � ਜ�ਣ" ਹੁ5ਦੇ� ਫਾੜੈ�ਅਗੋ ਨੁ�ਨੁਕੀ ਜ�ਣ ਨੁ� ॥ ॥ ਹੁਉ ਨੁ� ਮਾ" ਜ!ਨੁ� ਪ�ਣ ੨

One who controls the uncontrollable closes the nine holes of the body.One who worships and adores the Lord with his prana, stabilizes his body (wall).Where has he come from, and where will he go?Remaining dead while yet alive, he is accepted and approved.Whoever understands the Hukam realizes the essence of reality.This is known by Guru's Grace.O Nanak, know this: egotism leads to bondage.Only those who have no ego and no self-conceit, are not consigned to reincarnation. ||2|| 1289

॥ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੁ� ਅ�ਦੇਤਿਰਾ ਪ�ਚ ਚ�ਰਾ ਵਾਸਤਿਹੁ ਕੀ�ਮਾ ਕ੍ਰੋ�ਧੋ ਲ�ਭ ਮਾ�ਹੁ ਅਹੁ�ਕੀ�ਰਾ�Within this body dwell the five thieves: sexual desire, anger, greed, emotional attachment and egotism. 600

Shabad

॥ ਇਹੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਨੁਹੁਚਲ ਤਿਹੁਰਾਦੇ" ਵਾਸ�ਅਲ ਗੋਰਾਮਾਤਿਖ ਮਾ!ਲ ਪਛਾ�ਤਿਣ ਰਾਹੁ"When the mind becomes steady and stable, it abides in the heart, and then the Gurmukh realizes the root, the source of all.

॥ ਨੁ�ਤਿਭ ਪਵਾਨੁ ਘਤਿਰਾ ਆਸਤਿਣ �"ਸ" ਗੋਰਾਮਾਤਿਖ ਖ�ਜ� �� ਲਹੁ"The breath is seated in the home of the navel; the Gurmukh searches, and finds the essence of reality.

॥ ਸ ਸ�ਦੇ ਤਿਨੁਰਾ��ਤਿਰਾ ਤਿਨੁਜ ਘਤਿਰਾ ਆਛਾ" ਤਿ�2ਭਵਾਣ ਜ�ਤਿ� ਸ ਸ�ਤਿਦੇ ਲਹੁ"This Shabad permeates the nucleus of the self, deep within, in its own home; the Light of this Shabad pervades the three worlds.

॥ ਖ�ਵਾ" ਦੇ!ਖ ਭ!ਖ ਸ�ਚ ਕੀ� ਸ�ਚ ਹੁ� ਤਿ�2ਪ��ਤਿਸ ਰਾਹੁ"Hunger for the True Lord shall consume your pain, and through the True Lord, you shall be satisfied.

॥ ਅਨੁਹੁਦੇ ��ਣ� ਗੋਰਾਮਾਤਿਖ ਜ�ਣ� ਤਿ�ਰਾਲ� ਕੀ� ਅਰਾਥੈ�ਵਾ"The Gurmukh knows the unstruck sound current of the Bani; how rare are those who understand.

॥ ॥ ਨੁ�ਨੁਕੀ ਆਖ" ਸਚ ਸਭ�ਖ" ਸਤਿਚ ਰਾਪ" ਰਾ�ਗੋ ਕੀ�ਹੁ! ਨੁ ਜ�ਵਾ" ੬੫Says Nanak, one who speaks the Truth is dyed in the color of Truth, which will never fade away. ||65||

॥ ਕੀ�ਲ ਜ�ਲ �+ਹੁਮਾ ਅਗੋਨੁ� ਜ�ਰਾ The trap of death is burnt by the Fire of God.

॥ ਜ� ਪ�ਹੁ�ਰਾ� ਧੋ�ਰਾਜ ਸਤਿਨੁਆਰਾ Let self-control be the furnace, and patience the goldsmith.

॥ ਅਹੁਰਾਤਿਣ ਮਾਤਿ� ਵਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਥੈ�ਆਰਾ Let understanding be the anvil, and spiritual wisdom the tools.

॥ ਭਉ ਖਲ� ਅਗੋਤਿਨੁ �ਪ ��ਉWith the Fear of God as the bellows, fan the flames of tapa, the body's inner heat.

॥ ਭ�*ਡਾ� ਭ�ਉ ਅ�ਤਿਮਾ+� ਤਿ�� ਢਾ�ਤਿਲ In the crucible of love, melt the Nectar of the Name,

॥ ਘੜੈ�ਐ ਸ�ਦੇ ਸਚ� ਟੁਕੀਸ�ਲ ਤਿਜਨੁ ਕੀਉ ॥ ਨੁਦੇਤਿਰਾ ਕੀਰਾਮਾ ਤਿ�ਨੁ ਕੀ�ਰਾ ਨੁ�ਨੁਕੀ ਨੁਦੇਰਾ� ॥ ॥ ਨੁਦੇਤਿਰਾ ਤਿਨੁਹੁ�ਲ ੩੮

and mint the True Coin of the Shabad, the Word of God.Such is the karma of those upon whom He has cast His Glance of Grace.O Nanak, the Merciful Lord, by His Grace, uplifts and exalts them. ||38||
