You love the idea of sitting on the back porch with a bunch of your friends, drinking a glass of brandy and smoking Alec Bradley cigars.

Sitting back and smoking a cigar is a great experience that can be made even better by smoking a cigar that you made yourself.

Make Your Own Cigar

Growing the Tobacco Growing your own

tobacco is like growing any fruit or vegetable it needs time and a lot of care.

Along with time and care it needs the right amount of nutrients, plenty of water and an ample amount of sunlight.

Drying the Leaves

Check to make sure the leaves are ready to be picked. You will know they are ready when they start to yellow.

Once picked remove the center vein from the leaf then place it in a moist plastic bag.

Cut the Leaves

● Take a pair of scissors and cut a half-inch to an inch off what should now be a fist full of your conditioned leaves.

● Continue to cut this way until all three feet of your leaf is cut.

Make the Leaves Pliable

●If you have not already cut the vein out, fold the leaf in half-length wise and cut the leaf in half, cutting the vein out in the process.

●The best leaves should be left alone for the wrap.

●Take the good leaf halves and cut them in half again.

Make a Tobacco Mixture

● Take a quarter teaspoon of flower and a half a tablespoon of water and mix them together.

● Put the mixture in the microwave for 15 seconds. Remove and stir for 10 seconds.

● Continue this process until you have a thin paste.

Roll the Cigar● Place a binder leaf on a flat surface, vein side up.● Sprinkle the tobacco mixture evenly over the binder

leaf.● Tightly wrap the leaf, checking for density

consistency. ● Seal the binder leaf with a specific kind of glue.

Once you have the binder leaf sealed tight, you can cut off the ends and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
