Kotagiri is more of a tea territory, in theshade of the Dodda Betta Range. There islittle to do except trekking inside theLongwood Shola preserve. But thespectacular 220o, take-all-you can viewoffered by the Kodanad Viewpoint (18 kmfrom Kotagiri) is a great reason to go all theway. The viewpoint is nestled beside one ofthe most beautiful 1,000 acres of teagardens — Kodanad Estate.

Gorgeous flower farms and soothing teaestates. Still wish to get more? Well, justclimb up to Kodanad for a rewarding view ofthe Mysore plateau on one side and thestunning Thengumaraha village on theother. Amongst the various hills and peaks,there's the Rangaswamy Peak, highlyrevered by the Nilgiri people. There is alsoample of scope for a nice nature walk in theLongwood forest. Some flying foxes andbison will be more than happy to greet you!

1 Kodanad View Point
