Within the current system there are two competing identities. What is the common problem trying to be addressed?

A cultural barrier to women’seducation in Africa.

How do we fix the problem?

Competing Organizations

Kisa/Africaid and the competitors are trying to reach the same personas

These are the personas we are trying to reach, know who they are

In order to make Africaid/Kisa more competitive and identifiable, we began the process of unifying an identity.

Mission Statement Kisa is an educational movement for fundamental cultural empowerment throughout Africa.

Girls in Tanzania face a life without the chance for an education.

Without education, society willdetermine and limit them to subordinate roles.

With the financial support of dedicated sponsors the students will get the education they need.

Posters and brochures are the primary means of messaging for 80% of the world.

Posters become the visual aid for grass roots efforts.

Now that we unified the identity, we focused on how to connect with the sponsors.

We believe the stories about the students should be the first point of contact.

Kisa creates a connection on a personal level and emotionally invests the sponsors.

Here is an example of a story

My name is Mari Amu

I love my family

my school

my mother

All her life she has been gathering food

I am now 13 years old

I do not want to spend my life in a field

I do not want my family to starve

I want to be a teacher and be a leader

in Tanzania, this is close to impossible for a girl

only a scholarship will help achieve my dream

My name is Mari Amu

I am the future of Africa

Authentic Stories

We wanted to put flip cameras in the hands of students to tell their own stories.

We created a few videos as examples

A physical compliment to the video stories

Story Books

Share the stories, share the experience, meet the needs of the students and create a lasting culture.

Make the connection memorable.
