It is hard to believe just
how fast time is moving.
July is upon us and our
tempo here in Qatar has
picked up. Your Soldiers
are working harder then
ever before as we work
to wrap up the deploy-
ment. Our mission has
been demanding but also
rewarding. The fruits of
our labor don’t go unno-
ticed. June was a fast
paced month and July
promises to move even
faster. As we begin to
work towards coming
home and reintegration I
would like to take this
opportunity to remind
everyone that sometimes
the transition home can
be more challenging
than the transition away.
COMMANDER’S CORNER
Happy 4th of July. I hope that
you are able to enjoy the Holi-
day and remember that we are
so much closer to coming home.
The month of June has flown by
for us and hopefully for you as
well. Our troops are gainfully
employed and as always are set-
ting the standard for everyone
here on CAS. We are all start-
ing to see the light at the end of
the tunnel and everyone is ready
for us to return home. Through-
out the month of June we have
seen the Re-enlistment Ceremo-
nies for several of our Soldiers.
SGT Walker, SGT Barton, SGT
Slider, SPC Schoneboom, SPC Bran-
don, SPC Vandermark, and SPC
Proctor. Congratulations to these
troops. We have also sent a few
more Soldiers to Warrior Leaders
Course; SPC Neurohr, SPC Osorio,
SPC Gambrill, SPC Bruno, and SPC
Pruett. The Company continues to
lead the way with the Qatari Com-
mander’s Cup as well. With only a
few events left we are holding a
strong lead in the Battalion and I am
expecting them to continue that
course. Please be safe during the
Holiday and have a great July.
1SG PROUDLY PRESENTS
FRG SPOTLIGHT
Happy 4th of July from Hannibal MO.... We are experiencing some heat here, not quit has hot as you all, but hot enough. Just finish the July 4th Parade, gearing up for the Family Day on July 14th in Moberly. We will be sending out the information to-morrow with a map on how to get to the park. Plus all the de-tails.
Everyone here is counting down the days. Miss everyone Mama Z
Those left behind
have grown accus-
tomed to perform-
ing tasks without
the help and aide of
their deployed Sol-
dier. Understanding
the issues facing us
can be the first step
to a successful rein-
tegration to home.
God Bless!
