John Keats:
JOHN KEATS AS A ROMANTIC POET
The poetry of the romantic revival is in direct contrast to
the poetry of the neo-classical poets of the eighteenth
century.
The romantic poets took a great interest in the
humanity, and describes the lives of common men and
woman in their poetry.
ODES ON A GRECIAN URN
John Keats wrote ode on Grecian urn in may
1819.
The poem was published in January 1820.
The calls the urn as “ Unravish’d bride of
quietness”.
The urn is contrasted with the nightingale, as it
a product of human attempt on the other hand
the nightingale is a product of nature.
