2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Inspired Word of God!

Since There Is No Other Inspired Revelation From God To Man (Galatians 1:8-9), The Bible Is Our Only Source Of ReligiousAuthority.

Isn’t This TRUE?

Galatians 1:6-9

6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him

who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different

gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some

who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of

Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven,

preach any other gospel to you than what we have

preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have

said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches

any other gospel to you than what you have received,

let him be accursed.

2 Timothy 2:15

“Be diligent to present yourself

approved to God, a worker who

does not need to be ashamed, does not need to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth.”

There Are Two Natural

Divisions

The Bible (Word of Truth) Must be “Rightly Divided” or The Bible (Word of Truth) Must be “Rightly Divided” or “Handled Correctly” as We Study, Shouldn’t It?

Should We Obey Everything in Both OT and NT in Order to be Saved?

• Look at Noah, Should We Build an Ark?

• Look at Israel, Should We Offer Burnt Sacrifices?

• Look at The Law, Should We Make 3 Annual Trips to Jerusalem?

Romans 7:1-4

1 Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

When a woman is married to two men at the same time it’s called what?

 “Adultery.”

But if the 1st husband dies, isshe free to marry another?

If a Jew or anyone tries to live under the authority of OT

Also, the 1st Covenant must be dead before anyone canlive under the 2nd!!live under the authority of OT

& NT at the same time, that’s called what?

 “Spiritual Adultery.”

live under the 2nd!!

Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another — to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

Ephesians 2:15 & Colossians 2:14

2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is,

the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so

as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus

making peace

2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of

requirements that was against us, which was contrary

to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed

it to the cross.

When did first written law die?

Who “abolished the law of commandments contained in ordinances”?

Who “took it out of the way”?

Note: There was no other written law at the time of the cross other than the O.T.

God speaks today only through his son!

Hebrews 1:1-2 THE N.T. IS THE LAST

 Hebrews 9:16-17

ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All

authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Hebrews 9:16-17 16 For where there is a testament, there

must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives.

God ManSIN

Isaiah 59:1-2 “Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

N

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also

commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

James 4:17 Therefore, to him who

knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

 The Bible Defines SIN

Luke 13:3 unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked,

but now commands all men everywhere to repent

righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Acts 8:37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart,

you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one
