Judas Iscariot is infamously known for his kiss and betrayal of Jesus to the hands of the chief  priests in exchange for a payment of thirty silver coins.

Peter denies Jesus three times

Peter:

"Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”

Jesus:

"I tell you the truth. This very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”

Peter:

"Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you."

The first denial

Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest's house. Peter followed at a distance and when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, "This man was with him." But he denied it. "Woman, I don't know him," he said.

The second denial

When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, "This fellow is one of them." Again he denied it.

The third denial

After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away." Then he began to call down curses on himself and he swore to them, "I don't know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.

"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." (2Corinthians 7:10)

Jesus’ crucifixion (conti.)

Who really killed Jesus Christ?

Was it the Jews? Pontius Pilate? Satan? Our sins or was it something else altogether?

Jesus’ resurrection

The Resurrection

Three days after his death, Jesus rose from his tomb just as he had promised his disciples. According to Matthew and John, Jesus actually appeared first to Mary Magdalene, a follower of Jesus (John 20:11-18).

And then Jesus appeared to certain other women: Mary the Mother of Jesus, Salome, Joanna and others ( Matthew (28:1-10), Mark (16:1-8), and Luke (24:1-11.)), and to his apostles and many believers, commanding them to teach and baptize others.
