My role includes:

Leading the Year 9 Tutor Team (6 Tutor groups).

Parental contact for concerns/problems/information regarding the Curriculum (Teaching, Learning and Progress).

Having an overview of data for each Year 9 student (Subject Grades and Attitude to Learning) to celebrate successes and co ordinate support.

Checking on the progress of Y 9 students through:Student organiser, talking to students, dropping into lessons, checking workbooks across the curriculum.

Pastoral Area

HAL works very closely with Pastoral Area to ensure an holistic approach.

Tutors and Pastoral will help with:

1. Attendance and absence2. Illness3. Emotional support
