1 Installing the MultiSafepay plug-in

1.1 Installation requirements

PrestaShop should be installed before proceeding with the installation of the MultiSafepay payment plug-in.

PrestaShop can be downloaded via the following URL: http://www.prestashop.com/ 

1.2 Uninstalling the module

We recommend uninstalling older Prestashop plug-ins before proceeding with the installation.

1.3 Installation

Unpack the content of the .ZIP file, and upload the “modules” folder to the Prestashop root directory.  

This can be accomplished by making use of an FTP client.

1.4 Support

We don't offer support with the installation of Prestashop itself.

2 Adding a website to your MultiSafepay account

2.1 Adding a website

We suggest adding the website to your MultiSafepay account once the plug-in installation has been done.

Chapter 5.1 and 5.2 explain how to add a website to your MultiSafepay account, both manually as well as

via the “Site Wizard” tool.

3 Configuring the plug-in

3.1 Basic configuration

The basic configuration is the basis or the core of all our payment methods, with exception of Fast

Checkout and Pay After Delivery, and therefore must be configured.

Navigate to 'Modules' -> 'Modules' to start the basic configuration.

Locate the MultiSafepay plug-in, and click 'Install'.

Click on 'Configure' once the module has been installed, and enter the necessary data in the following

screen:

 Account ID Your MultiSafepay Account ID.

Site ID Your MultiSafepay Site ID.

Site Code Your MultiSafepay Site Code

Mode

Select Test or Production, depending the Multisafepay Account IDentered.

Confirm order

3.2 Configuring the payment methods

Click on 'Configure' once the payment method has been installed, and enter the necessary data in the

following screen:

We will use iDEAL in the following example.

Minimum order

amount

Set a minimum order amount for this payment method.

Maximum order

amount

Set a minimum order amount for this payment method.

3.3 Configuring Pay After Delivery

Click on 'Configure' once the payment method has been installed, and enter the necessary data in the

following screen:

 Account ID Your MultiSafepay Account ID.

Site ID Your MultiSafepay Site ID.

Site Code Your MultiSafepay Site Code

Test/Production

Mode

Select Test or Production, depending the Multisafepay Account IDentered.

Click on 'Configure' once the payment method has been installed, and enter the necessary data in the

following screen:

 Account ID Your MultiSafepay Account ID.

Site ID Your MultiSafepay Site ID.

Site Code Your MultiSafepay Site Code

Test/Production

Mode

Select Test or Production, depending the Multisafepay Account IDentered.

Tax Settings Select a VAT percentage for the shipping.

Tax Shipping Tax Shipping? Select “Yes” or “No”. Send e-mail Select at which point the order confirmation e-mail should be sent

Fast Checkout Show or Hide the Fast Checkout button in the shoppingcart

3.5 Tips

There are two things you should watch out for when offering Fast Checkout;’ 

1.) If a Fast Checkout order receives the status 'PAYMENT ERROR', then please check and verify that thetax setting are set correctly in de plug-in configuration as well as Prestashop.

2. ) Customers should be able to place an order as a ‘Guest’.

4 Verifying

We recommend verifying the functionality once the plug-in has been installed and configured, which can beachieved quite easily.

The most commonly occuring issue would be the absence of feedback sent from MultiSafepay to yourwebshop intended to update the status of an order.The above usually points out to an incorrect Notification URL.

This can be verified by having a customer place an order, or by placing a test order yourself, on yourwebsite.It is also highly recommended to perform a test order when using the Fast Checkout package.

 Afterwards proceed by logging into your MultiSafepay back-office.

Once logged in, navigate to the submenu ‘Transactions’ on the left and click on ‘Offline actions’.

'success' and 'ok' in the column 'Status' and 'Results' indicates the feedback through the Notification URL

is functioning correctly, although there are exceptions.
