ABOUT ICDP
National Co-operative Development Corporation was established by Central Government in 1963.It provides financial assistance to co-operative institutions so that they can work well in the changing environment. To better assist the institutions, it set up Integrated Co-operative Development Project in seventh five year plan(1985-89)

OBJECTIVES
The basic objective of RICEM , Jaipur is to contribute in the continuous improvement of HRD skills of Officer bearers / Workers in the Departments / Institutions.
Efficiency in the cooperative institutions can't be without I.T. infrastructure . Keeping this in view RICEM is dedicated computer training for all .
INTRODUCTION OF PROJECT
The study aims at all-round development of cooperatives by fulfilling there basic needs and daily requirements.
To find out the requirements of
cooperatives and fulfill them in order they can serve their members and whole community .

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
To find out the basic requirements of various cooperatives
To improve the working condition of the cooperatives
To help them make self sufficient
METHODOLOGY
Research type : Descriptive
Conducted a Census survey: The aim of the project was to find out the requirement of the cooperatives in the district. So only a census survey would be suitable. Unlike sample survey , whole universe is taken into account in the census survey.
DATA COLLECTION
Primary Data: It was collected through personal interviews, observations and focus group interviews and schedule.
Secondary Data : Reports and documents of the cooperatives, Statistical office, Internet and Journals.
LIMITATIONS
1 Time constraint: There was much to do in very less time.
2 Constraint of understanding local dialect
3 Lack of proper Transportation
4 Difficulties in collection of information from CCB due to lack of official support

SIROHI Sirohi is a city in southern Rajasthan It has an area of 5139 kms (2009 sq. miles)
and is the third smallest district of Rajasthan

Co-operative bank is a financial entity which
belongs to its members who are at the same time the owners and the customers of the bank.
Co-operative banks are often created by persons belonging to same local or professional community or sharing a common interest.
FUNCTIONS OF A DCCB
Co-operative banks are managed and organized on the principle of co-operation, self help and mutual help. Profit maximization is not their goal.

PACS- PRIMARY AGRICULTURE CREDIT SOCIETIES
It is a multi-purpose society. The farmers residing in the area of operation of the Society can become members of the society
and in return they will automatically qualify to get loans and other help from PACS.

These Societies have main objective to make short term and medium term loan advancements to the rural people for various purposes.
These societies not only provides cash
to their members but also pesticides, herbicides, seeds and fertilizers

PLDB-PRIMARY LAND DEVELOPMENT BANK
PLDB has 2 tier structure
PRIMARY LAND DEVELOPMENT BANK- The working area of this bank is at district level
STATE LAND DEVELOPMENT BANK- All Primary Land Development Bank are federated into State LAND development Bank at the state level.

The main objective of the land development bank is to promote the development of agriculture and increase the agriculture production.

There are so many mediators and brokers in reaching a product from producer to end consumer and hence it cost almost double to the consumer
After analyzing the situation government of India
realized that distribution of essential goods is better to be performed by the cooperatives institution rather than private parties. Under third five year plan govt. had set up Bhandars on district level.
FUNCTIONS OF BHANDAR
The basic objectives of Bhandar is to buy essential items in bulk from producer and to distribute it the end consumer on reasonable price through its branches and departmental stores.

OpportunitiesThere is a scope of improvement in functioning of co-operatives.It will also help in improving the status of the rural people as they are the people who will get benefitted by improvement in cooperatives

the loan is not recovered fully the project will be considered a failure.NABARD is also providing the money for various purposesAnd at a lower interest rate.

RECOMMENDATIONS
1 The effect of inflation and other reasons which affect the time value of money should be consider at the time of allotment of money.
2 TOURISM- Tourism is an untapped area where significant returns can be made just by taken some initiatives. SO it must be included under ICDP.

3 SOIL TESTING LABS - Soil testing labs can be set up by the gram seva samitis. For this, they can hire agriculture graduates who would give soil testing reports to the farmers directly
4 AGRICULTURE ALLIED ACTIVITIES - Special emphasis should be given by the government to promote these activities. They should direct the banks to increase their loan advances in the agriculture allied activities.
