How to use Photoshop

To get this text for the masthead I used Century Gothic font and then used the Bevel and Emboss tool with a satin effect.

To get this background strip I used the rectangular shape tool.

To get this text I used the Bevel and Emboss tool and also the Drop Shadow tool to get the shadow behind the text.

For the logo I used an image and cut out the bit that I wanted by using the Quick Selection tool.

I then smoothed the edges with the Smudge tool.

For the contents page I used the same tools for the text, logo and the blue strip behind the title ‘contents’ as I did on the front cover page.
