1. How to use a school menu

-4 course meal-No packed lunches in France!

• Intercultural dimension

Compare the menu with menus in your school

-Fish is once a week (merlu le vendredi)-Meat, fish or egg at every meal (boeuf, jambon…)-Carbohydrates at every meal (frites, purée, pizza… )-Milk and dairy food at every meal (fromage blanc, emmental…)

• Healthy or not healthy?

Classify the food into categories:

Viande, poisson, oeufs

Lait, produits laitiers

Fruits, légumes

Féculents Matières grasses

Le boeuf L’emmental Les clémentines

Purée de pommes de terre

• How to use cognates and prior knowledge to understand a menu.
