How to Upload a Picture to a purple mash blog

PARENTAL PERMISSION IS REQUIIRED BEFORE EVERY PHOTO UPLOAD,

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO INCLUDE A PHOTO WITH A POST.

ALL POSTS REQUIRE APPROVAL FROM TEACHERS ELECTRONICALLY

BEFORE UPLOADING FOR CLASSES TO SEE.

1. On the purple mash homepage, look got the green icon at the top which says

‘Sharing’ and click on this.

2. Click on ‘Shared Blogs’ in the tabs menu.

3. Click on your class’ blog or the challenge blog (depending on whether you want

to share something with you class or upload your attempt at one of the school’s

weekly challenges).

4. Click on the green button in the top corner with the white + sign.

5. Now you are ready to make your post.

- Give your post a title by clicking in the box and typing

- In the summary section, you can include a few words about your project/post

- To add more or a upload a picture, you must click in the large box at the

bottom before the options to edit or upload become available.

6. To add upload a picture, click on the image icon with a green and white

+ symbol.

7. Then click on ‘Choose file’ at the bottom.

8. Click on ‘From my PC’.

9. Find the file from your computer that you want to upload and double click it

or click ‘open’.

10. The photo will appear in your post. You can then add additional text

alongside, if you want to. Click ‘Save’.

11. Your post will appear on the blog but only to yourself and your teachers, until

it is approved. There will be a label at the bottom saying ‘Not Approved’. This

means that it will not be shared with school yet.

12. Your teacher will now get an alert asking them to check a new post for

approval, this is where they can then make sure your post is shared to the

class/school blog.

13. If you decide that you no longer want the post to be on the blog, or you want

to change the post, you can edit or delete your own posts any point. Just go

back to ‘Sharing’ > ‘Shared Blogs’ > your class or school blog’. Then double

click anywhere on your post.

14. Click on the ‘Edit’ button to change something about your post, or the ‘Delete’

button to remove it from the blog.
