First, go to your Apple ID and then you select “Manage your Apple ID”.

Now you Click “Get started” under two step verification.

Apple provides an overview of the process.

Now you show some additional instructions from Apple:

In additional instruction enter a cell phone number. You shouldenter it in +(country code)nnnnnn format, like the WhatsAppformat. You could also add a second phone number, such as yourspouse’s, in case your phone is lost or stolen. You could alsochoose to enter any of your Apple devices.

Now you will receive the code and verify your Apple device, then you will need to login. Enter your phone

number here, leaving off the country code.

Now, enter the code that Apple sent you. If it did not come, then you Click Didn’t receive a code.

Copy your recovery key to a document (not on iCloud) or printit. You will need this in case your phone is stolen or lost to log into your account. For example, put it in a Google Docs document,and then protect that account with Google two-factor

authentication.

Apple will send a code to your phone. Now enter it in your Recovery key to verify. Here you cannot copy and

paste it. You must type it.

After confirmation, read the screen to make sure you understand Apple’s overview of the process.

Now Apple gives your more information.

After the process is complete, when you login to any Apple product, it will ask for this code.
