Navigating in PowerPoint

To navigate through the slides:

• Click the button to move to the next slide.

• Click the button to move to the previous slide.

• You can also use the PageUp or PageDown.

• Or you may use the wheel on your mouse.

Introduction

Welcome to your first OnePurdue online course. You are about to embark on a new journey.

We are here to help you succeed in that journey. Feel free to take this course as many times as you would

like. Move at your own pace.

Getting Started

To start a learning module (unit):

• Click the unit icon or Unit text.

Downloading Files

• If this is your first time opening a learning module, you may see the following yellow security bar display:

• With your mouse buttons, right-click this bar.

• You will see a pop-up message.

• Select Download file from this list.

• Allow time for the PowerPoint to load.

• Another pop-up message will display:

• The box below the buttons on this message will, by default, be checked. Uncheck this box.

• Click the Open button.

• Allow time for the PowerPoint to load.

• It will open in a viewing frame within Vista.

Downloading Files

• If there is more than one resource in a module, a Table of Contents will display to the left of the viewing frame.

Changing Units

Viewing other units:

• Click the icon on the Vista toolbar to return to the home page.

• Select another unit to view.

Logging Out of Vista

Log out of Vista:

• Click Log Out in the upper right corner of the Vista screen.

Click the home page icon (on the Vista toolbar) to continue to the next unit.
