How-To Create an Administrator and

Standard User account in Windows 8

Step 1: Hold down the “Windows” key on your

keyboard AND tap the “R” key

Step 2: Type “control” in the dialogue box that appears

The Windows Control Panel will popup. Click on “User Accounts

and Family Safety” or “User Accounts”

Click the “Manage another account” link

Click the “Add a new user in PC settings” link

Click the “Add an account” link

From here on follow the on-screen instructions to create a

new Standard or Admin account
