How to get along

with others who

are a little (a lot)

different.

1 Corinthians 1:10-17; John 17:20-23

Vs. 10

“. . . that all of you agree with one another . . . “ (10b)

“. . . So that there will be no divisions among you and that you

may be perfectly united in mind and thought. . . “ (10c)

on what creates unity

things that cause disunity

The Bible teaches that anything that causes disunity –

be it an action or attitude 0 is a sin. Look at Ephesians

4:3 and Romans 14:19

Should we all be in agreement or think a

like on the color of the carpet in the

sanctuary? What songs are sung in a

worship service? Whether to home

school or send our children to public

school? Who to vote for? The ideal is to

agree agreeably. But what happens when

we quarrel over such things.

“Is Christ divided?” vs 13

“. . . preach the gospel – not with words of human wisdom lest the

cross of Christ be empties of it’s power. For the message of the

cross – to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
