Man, am I ever getting excited to celebrate
Big Sky Harley’s 15 year anniversary!!
It has been and awesome ride these last 15
years. I have met so many people from all over
and now we get to celebrate together our love
of Harley - Davidson’s .
Thank you for helping make Big Sky Harley
apart of your lives!
President, Mick Myskewitz Thanks a million to every member and guest that made our Big Sky Harley
Owners “OPEN HOUSE” a huge success. Thanks Travis, excellent job as our DJ.
Thanks to the Prospector and their staff, job well done. And a personal thanks to
Dennis and Jackie Friede for your help on a long laborious task of making the
mini golf course the day of the event. That was a mind bender. Lol As your
President I’m so proud to see the members enjoying the events and attending
the chapter meetings, that is a huge inspiration to me to continue to strive for
better. Thanks Jim Olson for your creative events to keep our chapter meetings
fun and growing. When it feels like the mountain top is unreachable, or the ob-
jective target keeps moving, I remember what our sponsor Brian Moen told me.
“ If you want change to happen you have to remember it’s like building Sand
Castles, just because you built it today doesn’t mean they will be there
tomorrow. Keep building, keep reminding, stay the course everyday!” With that
in mind, in parting. We are a riding chapter about family and friends and dealer
sponsored. A“OPEN” event is one member one guest.
There is my “Sand Castle” for the day.
Thanks again for all your support. Mick

Why should I pay my dues ??
Why should I pay for my HOG membership dues?? Well let’s take a
look at what membership and nonprofit definition look like;
Membership definition:
The members of an organization collectively, the state of being a member, as of a society or club, the status of a member - an organization with a growing membership Members want to belong to a family group rather than an
organization–to feel accepted, affirmed, and appreciated as
individuals rather than lost in a system.
Non-profit organization definition:
An incorporated organization which exists for educational or
charitable reasons, and from which its shareholders or trustees do
not benefit financially.
Any money earned by a non-profit organization must be retained
by the organization, and used for its own expenses, operations,
and programs.
Do you like having rides, poker runs, HOG Wallers, Christmas
Parties, parties in general?? Well, from an operational view point,
you need to have insurance coverage's, pay for people to come in
and serve us food or drinks, bands and DJ’s, rent that bus, pay for
door prizes and other giveaways.
If you don’t pay your $20.00 a year, we cannot collectively come
together as a membership to do such amazing activities. $20
dollars a year, heck if you go to Starbucks that’s only 4 coffees, if
you drink beer that’s about the cost of a 16pack, not a beer drinker
that’s about 6 drinks after happy hour. I know that you can afford
to help support this membership in our ongoing efforts to provide
you with a good time.
You have until the end of April to pay your membership dues. If
you fail to pay them you will be offered less events, will not receive
flash’s or newsletters and maybe even declined participation
because you didn’t pay your dues. So don’t let that happen!
See Sam or the parts counter ASAP!!
If you have purchased a new bike from Big Sky Harley, you get a FREE membership to National HOG and to the Local Chapter.
Keep an eye on your mail for a letter from Sam with your info and release forms. Just drop the forms back off at the dealership.
Well I am back after missing the March meeting. To tell the truth I was off gallivanting around the desert country of Nevada and Arizona. With 8 other Hogs we headquartered
In Laughlin Nevada and then road the back roads visiting quaint and historical mining
Towns. as well as riding some of the most twisting mountainous roads ,Old Route 66 mixed in with an occasional refreshment, was the formula for a great time and friendship. Well enough of my adven-tures, now down to the brass tacks of the chapter. Hats off to Activity Director Jim Olson for the two very unique poker runs. The St. Patty Run and the Easter Egg Hunt, Very innovative Jim. Thanks to Tina Bundtrock, our LOH officer for hosting a ladies night Out, and putting together a schedule of some fun events for ladies as well as all chapter Members during the coming summer months. Between Jim and Tina, I hope you find your summer filled with
many good times. Just remember with good riding weather come increased traffic, I mean those old Iron cages, so beware of our other nemesis gravel monkeys. See you all round the country side.
SPECIAL SIDE NOTE: Thanks you members who have paid their 2015 dues. Chapter dues are by 30 April, this how we fund our activities for you all

Almost 1/2 way into 2015 and it seems like we are barley scratching the surface. Activities have been
busy during the winter months trying to create rides and adventures to help melt away the
winter cabin fever..
As we progress further into the year, your team of officers will be pulling all the stops to make this year
an exciting time for everyone. Some of our events will be geared toward open agenda items, meaning
that we are inviting the public to come join us, ride with us, and get to know us.
The web site for the Montana Rally in Missoula is active and on line registration is still available. The Hog
gods are looking very close at rally registrations and the cost involved and are leaning toward taking the
state rally's and making them more of a regional rally. Please take a moment and support the Missoula
Rally team and register for your Montana rally, July 16th in Missoula. Even if you can only spend the day,
I know they will appreciate your support.
We are looking to include an overnight adventures in 2015 and are soliciting ideas from the general
membership about where you would like to go. Montana has a lot to offer and we are excited to pursue
any options for overnight adventures to National Parks, Virginia City, or other places you may want to
visit. Please submit your ideas to any of your chapter officers.
If you have ideas, or would like to help plan an event, please feel free to let us know. We are always
looking for bigger and better ways to challenge our membership. So take ownership and take on a
event you are passionate about!
I wish each and every one of you a great riding season. Be safe, ride smart, but above all - Just
Ride - Jim
The 2015 riding season started early and is almost in full bloom! Your HOG Chapter has some new and different events planned, one of which is the Scramble Scrabble. It looks like a lot of fun and there will undoubtedly be several people in the running to win the set of tires. However, keep in mind that the photos of your bike will often be at the edge of the road showing the sign for the city limits, county lines, and State lines. Those signs that are on Interstate Highways pose little risk, but we ask that you exercise extreme caution when setting up your photos that are on Montana primary and secondary highways or county roads. Nearly all of these are two lane with very little to no shoulder area at all. Make sure you have your bike and yourself off the roadway before taking the picture. Same goes for your riding friends that may be taking your picture. We don't want anyone getting sideswiped by another motorist! Also, if you are in a group, don't make sudden stops before a highway sign--that could leave your friends stack-ing behind you and creating an even worse hazard.

Ladies of Harley,
Ironically, after our first successful LOH meeting and discussing reaching out to the local mission, children’s receiving home and local senior living facilities, I have been contacted to see if there was a interest by our group (LOH) to help serve at the Rescue Mission for their Spring Banquet on Monday, April 20th. I know it is short notice, but if you can help even a little bit it would be great!
Help is needed at these times; 830 am-10 am set up, 930 am- 11am dessert and food prep, 11am- 130 pm actual lunch/banquet help/serving/bussing/etc.
Interested members please email Nolan.vaughan@gfrescuemission.org or call 761-2653 and ask for Nolan.
Thank you for your consideration -
**Next LOH meeting will be at the Pit stop in Black Eagle at 6 p.m. - remember, if you do not
own a bike and ride as a passenger or you are a female associate member, you CAN still partici-
pate in LOH !
