DESCRIPTION

Brave kids from all around Westerville brought in their favorite teddy bears, leopards, bunnies and foxes for last week's Hibernation Camp. The stuffies stayed the night at the library and learned all about how to hibernate for the winter before being reunited with their favorite small humans. (Pictures courtesy of PhotoKitchen.net.)

Our adventures at the Westerville Library

Hibernation Camp

First, we learned the rules of hibernation.

Then Miss Mickie read us a story….

About a bear named Corduroy.

Have you read that story before?

We liked it a lot, especially the end.

Next, we told stories by the campfire.

Some were scary, so we huddled close.

Some were silly and made us laugh.

And when it got cold, we warmed our paws by the fire.

Before bedtime, we watched a movie about bears.

And ate popcorn. Yum!

The movie was called Brother Bear.

Have you seen it?

After the movie, we were all very sleepy.

So we crawled into bed.

We wanted to stay awake all night talking to our new friends…

But it was hard to keep our eyes open!

We woke up bright & early this morning…

So we could learn more about hibernating.

We learned about all kinds of bears, like pandas…

And polar bears.

We even learned about leopards…

And bunnies.

And though we had a ton of fun at Hibernation Camp,

we are oh so very happy to see you.
