FAUNAThe fauna of Sonora is rich and varied, and can be counted as major animal the following, grouped by species:

Mammals: squirrel, wild sheep, antelope, ibex, ringtail, rat, badger, wild cat, doe, fox and skunk.

Birds: snipe, hawk, lark, alcatraz, owl, roadrunner, huitlacoche, chachalaca, gallardeto, water fowl, sea-green, hawk, seagull, bargain mourning dove, falcon, fly bird.
