HERE2 Homeland Emergency Response Exchange

HERE is a software application that

displays Tier 2 data. It may be run with

or without an internet connection.

This is the dashboard

Tells you if you are connected to the

internet

Saved searches New searches

Environmental Interest

area

Listing of sites matching

search criteria

Search by: site name, alternate name, fire department, and city.

You can search more than 1 state, county, and/or environmental interest type.

You can search using latitude/longitude within a certain radius.

State for data

retrieval

Start Search

Search by Facility

Click to close box

Click to expand box

Chemical storage information.

Click on arrow to expand chemical details.

Map the facility using Google Earth

You can search for certain chemicals by adding it to the search criteria.

Search by CAS# or chemical name

Click on Execute Search

Locate chemical

Click on Add

Click on OK Chemical is selected

You can save your search criteria.

Click on Data Download to schedule updates

If you do not want the data to

run, you can click on Schedule

to set the time.

You can pick which states data you want

to receive. Iowa is already checked. If

picking more than Iowa you will need to

click on Request access.

Mapping options

Under Startup Options, uncheck the Start HERE upon Windows

startup. This will allow you to determine when you want to open

HERE 2.

Application tab

When you map to Google Earth, this is the Legend that comes up.

You can change the icons that appear by left clicking on the one you

want to change. Wait a minute then right click. It brings up a list of

available icons.

You can also pull up the Chemical Data Sheet for

chemicals. Type in the Name or CAS# and click on the

magnifying glass to search for the data sheet.
