progressiu del Regne Unit format el 1975 pel baixista Steve Harris. Les seves principals influències són Thin Lizzy, UFO i Deep Purple entre d'altres. La mascota del grup, Eddie, és protagonista de la imatgeria del grup, de temàtica de terror, així com també dels seus muntatges escènics. Eddie fou
creat pel dibuixant Derek Riggs i ha tingut diverses encarnacions a càrrec d'altres artistes com Melvyn Grant.
Iron Maiden és un dels grups de heavy metal més influents amb gairebé 90 milions de còpies venudes arreu del món.
