things, like germ in environment that hurt can you • Bad hygiene allow these thing to affect

your body or probably make you sick

health of our youth , our school and our nation• Good hygiene prevent the spread of germ• It is also help to give a good first impression

TRANSMISSION OF GERM

• Germ can be transmitted in many way including : Through dirty hand Through droplet release during cough or a sneeze via air or contaminated surface Through vector Through contact with sick person’s body fluid

PREVENT AIR BORNE INFECTION • Cover your mouth and

nose when coughing and sneezing tissue

• Throw the tissue away quickly and carefully

• Clean hard surface ( like door , handles and remote control ) frequently with a normal cleaning surface

HEALTY SKIN • Soap and water are essential for keeping

skin clean

• A good bath one or twice a day is recommend , especially in tropical country like INDIA

• Those who involved in active sport or work out would do well to take a bath after the activity

ORAL HYGIENE

• Well, weather it is a neem , twig or battery brush

you can not give brushing miss

ORAL HYGIENE Prevent the build up of plaque

Caustic factor of the major dental problem .Poor oral hygiene allows the accumulation of acid producing bacteria on the surface of the teeth

Acid demineralize the tooth enamel causing tooth decay (cavities). Dental plaque can also invade and affect the gum disease

• In both condition , the final effect of poor oral hygiene is the loss of one or more teeth .

How Often and When To Brush And Floss• At least two times a day• one time in the morning, and one time at night• consider brushing between meals

too!• Floss at least one time a day• Floss if you feel food stuck in

your teeth

HEALTHY TEETH AND GUM The health and cleanliness of your mouth is important , if you don’t brush and floss

• Cavities (holes in your teeth) may form• Your breath will probably smell bad• You may be at higher risk for serious disease later in life , such as heart disease, stroke , and diabetes

FOOD TO AVOID

Bacteria in your mouth grow on sugar . Try to eat as little “junk food” as possible

Avoid drinking soda and sweet tea

If you do eat these thing , you may want to brush immediately afterwards.

HAIR – It is your crowing glory• The hormonal changes that occur during

puberty can causes hair to become oily• Glands are more active during puberty .

The glands on the hair follicles deposit oil on each hair .This oil makes the hair shiny but it also attaches dirt to the hair• Oily hair needs to be washed more

frequently than dry or normal hair . If hair is very oily it should be washed every day• Wash your hair at least once a week

using soap or mild shampoo.• Choose a shampoo to suit hair type . Rinse

out well with clean water• Dry your hair after a wash

BODY ODOUR• Sweating is a vital and process• The exocrine gland is active at the onset

of puberty• When stimulated , they produce perspiration and the sweat in contact with bacteria on the skin result is body odour• This odour is unpleasant and increases with physical activity , stress ,excitement, nervousness and warmth. • Body odour can be effectively managed by

: - Daily showers or baths ; - Changing one’s clothes daily ; - Use of a deodorant or anti-perspiration

EAR CARE• A very important part of personal hygiene• Consists of three parts; the outer ear , the middle ear and the inner ear.• Involves the care of the outer ear• Other parts can become damaged if tampered with• Outer ear consists of the visible part known as the pinna and the entrance to the ear canal leading to the ear drum

FOOT CARE• Use towels that are kept separate

from anyone else • Wash and dry feet twice a day• Pay particular attention to through drying techniques• Change socks when moist• The common infections are ringworm and athlete's foot

NAIL CARE• Nails made up of layers of protein called keratin and indicative of our general health• Grow on average 1mm per week• Taking good care of your nails and maintaining their cleanliness very important • Nails can be kept clean by using a simple mild soap , warm water and a nail brush• Cut nails as germs may be present inside them, specially harmful if we use hands to eat

POOR PERSONAL HYGIENE

Poor Personal habits

• Digging nose or ear• Putting finger in mouth• Rubbing of eye• Spitting

GOOD HYGIENE HABITS • Get a good night’s sleep • Eat a good breakfast• Take good dental care• Wash your hands frequently to avoid spreading germs• Take bath daily to keep the dirt and bad smell away
