A Message from The Governor General of Canadato the students, families and staff of HA Halbert Jr PS on the occasion of our school’s 70th year!
URGENT NOTICE
The Government of Ontario has announced that all elementary schools in Southern Ontario, including those at the TDSB, will be closed to students until Monday, January 11, while all secondary schools will be closed to students until Monday, January 25. During this time, all in-person schools will be shifting to remote learning, while virtual schools will continue as normal.

Families are asked to check their emails for further instructions about how their children can log-in to their Google Classroom and into their Google Meets.
Teachers will be waiting to meet their students in their respective Google Meets at 9:00 AM.
Families should have received their children's’ student number, password and email. If you have not received this, please contact your child’s teacher.
Remote Learning Schedule8:55 AM - Google Meet is opened by teacher
9:00 AM - Class Begins with morning announcements and attendance
10:20 AM - Morning recess
10:35 AM - Classes continue
11:30 AM - Lunch (for Kindergartens)
11:45 AM - Lunch (Grades 1 - 6)
12:25 PM - Google Meet is opened by teacher
12:30 PM - Classes continue
1:50 PM - Afternoon Recess
2:00 PM - Classes continue
3:10 PM - End of School Day

First Day of In-Person School
The first day of In-Person School is Monday, January 11, 2020.
The school bell will continue to ring at 8:55 AM marking the first day of the 2021 calendar school year.
February is Kindergarten Registration Month
Children born in 2017 are invited to register for Junior Kindergarten for the school year 2021/2022. If you have a family member or a neighbour born in 2017, please let them know we look forward to seeing them soon!
