Acrostic Poem!
Could always help with any situation that needed her anywhere in the world!
Loved by all the people she helped in the war and on the streets plus many more!
Always wanting to make a change in the world so everyone could have a better life!
Ramming through cement walls that keep her from healing all the people she could!
Ambitious with all her work that must be done as soon as possible and now not later!
!
Brave to go into the war to help as many people as she could stay alive after being wounded!
As a teacher early in her life she had a great education of helping people!
Revolutionary when she started the American Red Cross and had the first meeting and mission!
Thrown off her teaching job when the civil war started in 1861!
Overly working overtime to help the community and the country become a better place!
Never !stops trying when she knows she could always make a great change in the world or
country or anywhere
Clara barton is one of the most amazing people I've ever heard about, because
she had a great idea to bring to america that she made come true. !She was
the one to have the idea to bring the Red Cross to America and create The
American Red Cross after she had seen the Red Cross in England which was
pretty famous. This has gotten so !famous that ours has gone to many different
countries to help like Iraq they've been a great help there. During the civil
war she was always helping bandage the soldiers, plus she even hired doctors
from all over to help bandage the thousands of soldiers. Anytime someone
needed help she was there to help and do as much as she could to save them.
She was so brave she could go onto the battlefield to help the soldier even
during war where she could be shot. What she was doing was always very
dangerous and risky.Clara was a brave supporting women with great ideas and
had a dream to help as many people as she could so that they could see a
couple more great days.!

! ! ! ! ! !Hey mom it's me coming from Dannsville New York. I was just at the
first meeting of the American Red Cross it was a great experience for me. Clara
Barton was there and we talked about what we were going to do with the
American Red Cross. We also talked about how we were going to pay for the
supplies. Then later this year we went to our first rescue mission the wild fire in
Michigan where over 300 people died there was so much destruction It was so
devastating but it was fun to help the people that were hurt or left with no
home. Thousands of acres were burnt down and lots of crops were lost. Clara
Barton has done something very great in our country by starting the American
Red Cross. I love all the courage she has gathered throughout her life.!I really
hope to work with her again sometime and to help her with her work. I miss
you I'll be back pretty soon to see you again I will bring you something from
everywhere I've gone.!

I chose this picture
because it. Represents
Clara Barton and the
American Red Cross.
The American Red
Cross!
" Together we can
save a life"
Collage
I chose these pictures because
they reflect on Clara's life. Like
the one on the middle right is
how she helped out in the Civil
War. And the bottom left
picture reflects on the red cross.
Every one of these pictures
represents her in some way like
the top left when she helped
the American Red Cross with
the floods that were going on
during that time period. Or the
middle left reflects her first free
school. Or the top middle was
her college that she went to
after she taught school. Or the
bottom right is Clara Barton
herself. All these pictures mean
something different.
