EPA·s coal ash public hearing:
y Problem: Federal standards need to protect public
health, but should coal waste be classified ashazardous, or non-hazardous?
y Greenpeace states it as hazardous and argues that it
should be put under Subtitle C of the Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act, which was based on
the EPA·s own findings!
