1. CONVERGENCETechnological convergence occurs when sets of technologieswith distinct functionalities develop so that some of thefunctions overlap. Convergence takes place when thesemultiple products come together to form one product withthe advantages of all of the individual technologies. Themobile phone which provides text, graphic and voice is anexample of technological convergence. (Wild, 2006)Therefore Convergence is the coming together of two ormore distinct entities or the combination of two or moredifferent technologies in a single device. 2.
