• 1. Simeon was waiting for the thing God was going to do. He understood the purposes of God in his day.

• 2. He heard what the Spirit was saying to him and knew God would do what he said. Faith!

• 3. He was directed to go to the temple at the right time.

• 4. He expresses great joy and prophesies what God was doing and was going to do.
