God Sees All Thingsby Pastor Fee Soliven

1 Thessalonians 2:1-5Wednesday NightNovember 6, 2013

1 For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.

2 But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much

conflict.

3 For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God

who tests our hearts.

5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak

for covetousness--God is witness.

1 For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.

Acts 17:1-111 Now when they had passed through

Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a

synagogue of the Jews. 2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for

three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and

demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.“ 4 And some of them were

persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. 5 But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious,

took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the

city in an uproar and attacked the house of

Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6 But when they did not find

them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, "These who have turned the world

upside down have come here too. 7 Jason

has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar,

saying there is another king--Jesus." 8 And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. 9

So when they had taken security from

Jason and the rest, they let them go. 10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When

they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Romans 8:14"For as many as are led by the Spirit of

God, these are sons of God"

Jeremiah 29:11-1311 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not

of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me,

and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all

your heart.

2 But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much

conflict.

Psalm 34:15-2215 The eyes of the LORD are on the

righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. 16 The face of the LORD is against

those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The LORD is near to those

who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the

afflictions of the righteous,

But the LORD delivers him out of them all. 20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. 21 Evil shall slay the wicked, And

those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. 22 The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in

Him shall be condemned.

Deuteronomy 31:6"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake

you."

Psalm 32:7-117 You are my hiding place; You shall

preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of

deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will

guide you with My eye. 9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed

with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you. 10 Many sorrows shall be

to the wicked; But he who trusts in the

LORD, mercy shall surround him. 11 Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you

righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart! Saints, the apostles

continued to be surrounded by many who opposed them. In Thessalonica, their

enemies had started a riot against Paul and Silas and their teachings. The Jewish leaders had claimed that Paul and Silas were “guilty of

treason against Caesar” because they were professing “allegiance to another king, Jesus”. In

reality, their only “crime” was proclaiming the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ.

3 For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

2 Corinthians 4:1-41 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not

lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God

deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's

conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age

has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the

image of God, should shine on them.

1 Timothy 1:3-53 As I urged you when I went into

Macedonia--remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no

other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause

disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. 5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere

faith,

4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God

who tests our hearts.

Luke 16:15"And He said to them, "You are those who

justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly

esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God"

1 Samuel 16:6-76 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, "Surely the

LORD's anointed is before Him." 7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his

appearance or at the height of his stature,

because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks

at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Psalm 26:2-32 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try

my mind and my heart. 3 For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I

have walked in Your truth.

Psalm 66:10-1210 For You, O God, have tested us; You have

refined us as silver is refined. 11 You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs. 12 You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But

You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak

for covetousness--God is witness.

Hebrews 4:13"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to

the eyes of Him to whom we must give account"

Palms 33:13-1513 The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. 14 From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of

the earth; 15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.

Romans 13:11-1411 And do this, knowing the time, that

now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent,

the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast

off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as

in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and

envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its

lusts.
