Violence and abuse are very common in

our community. Drugs & alcohol is often a

major cause of violence.

Peer pressure can be a good thing, like how our kids look up to positive role

models.

It can also be a bad thing, like when

someone wants to quit drinking but their friends pressure them into drinking.

Many of our community members

have depression from things like residential school, abuse, gossip, low self-esteem etc. Depression is also a

health issue.

Respect is something that has always been very important to our

people, especially respect for our

elders.

Society means people. How a group of people gets along, what we do with our time, and how we treat each

other. Family & friendships are important parts of society.
