West Yorkshire UEC NetworkThe network is recognised and mandated as the group which:

Coordinates the development of a consistent network policy for the commissioning of urgent and emergency care services;

Acts as the strategic forum with oversight  for all urgent and emergency care services related work across West Yorkshire;

Will scope and inform the delivery of services that aim to achieve the best configuration possible for patients in West Yorkshire;

Will recognise the sovereignty of the participating organisations; 

Will develop recommendations based on the contribution and input of its participants.

West Yorkshire UEC NetworkThe urgent and emergency care services network will be guided by the following principles:

• All citizens deserve access to the highest quality and safe urgent and emergency care across all seven days of the week;

• The right care in the right place, by those with the rights skills, the first time will improve patient experience and clinical outcomes and will reduce the amount of time people spend avoidably in hospital;

• Urgent and emergency care involves a wide number of care pathways across a range of providers and care settings but should be simple to access and guide good choices by patients and clinicians;
